Welcome to our new website.   We are glad you are here and hope that you will learn more about the Chihuahuan Desert and our coalition.   Recently our Board of Directors met and decided it was time to refocus and reset the goals of our organization.  We want to reach out to people living and visiting our desert region like never before.  You can help us and be a part of our future.    At the moment you can text Rick LoBello at 915-217-4233 or by email at lobellorl@elpasotexas.gov for more information.   Check out all the information we have online now and connect with us on Social Media.   Find our menu at the top of the page or by clicking the menu bars if you are using a mobile device.

The bolson tortoise is categorized as “vulnerable,” one category before endangered. Unfortunately, because of climate change, habitat destruction and overexploitation, the bolson tortoise population has plummeted more than 50 percent over the last three generations.
