

The ninetieth annual Chihuahuan Desert Fiesta at the El Paso Zoo and Botanical Gardens is coming up on Saturday September 23th, from 10:30am to 3:00pm. Enjoy learning about our Chihuahuan Desert through the zoo exhibit and discovery tables featuring local organizations and educators.
The original event began in 2005 and was sponsored by the Chihuahuan Desert Education Coalition (CDEC). Over the past two decades the event has been growing in popularity. Visitors can expect animal encounter presentations, educational booths and entertainment at the zoo. Registration has closed for the scheduled hikes on Sunday at Franklin Mountains State Park.
