Why should the State of Texas come up with a plan to bring back the wolf to the desert and mountain region of West Texas and the Chihuahuan Desert?
What efforts are underway to help convince Texas and the US Fish and Wildlife Service to support a Texas Wolf Recovery Plan?
Years ago Yellowstone National Park and Glacier National Park supported wolf recovery in Wyoming and Montana. Why are Big Bend National Park and Guadalupe Mountains National Parks not including wolf recovery in their Master Plans?
These questions and more will be addressed on Wednesday evening, 6:30 pm MT, November 1, when the Texas Master Naturalist Chapter in El Paso will host Rick LoBello, Education and Conservation Curator at the El Paso Zoo and Botanical Garden. Rick has advocated for wolf recovery in Texas for over 40 years. His presentation will also include an overview of conservation programs underway at the Zoo.
The main contact for the presentation is Joseph Arteaga who is hosting the monthly meeting of Texas Master Naturalists. The passcode for the meeting is TMN
